Cheryl Tomlinson is an educator with over 26 years of experience in teaching and school administration.
She is a wife and a mother of two beautiful daughters.
Cheryl holds a Bachelors degree in English/Communications and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction, both from Michigan State University. As a Teach Plus Policy Fellow of Michigan, her current study with teachers across Michigan is in Social Emotional Learning (SEL). Cheryl is working to advocate for more mental health awareness programs in schools across Michigan.
Cheryl's passion is to see students safe, thriving, and succeeding in school and beyond. As a mother, she understands the concerns parents have when sending their children off to school in times when school violence is on the rise.
By coming together to start their school year off with prayer, school supplies, resources, and support, Cheryl believes we can make a difference in the lives of students.
Her motto is "Teaching is not a career, but a way of life."
